Supported by the High Commission of Canada in Barbados and OECS, Lifeline's Safe Refuge Project, is working with to provide temporary accommodations and essential support services to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
The initiative also includes a social media helpline intake system which Canada additionally supports through our Blueprints for Gender Equality project, implemented by Cuso International.
Recently, Lifeline Ministries delivered an impactful training to 14 helpline volunteers at Dominica's police headquarters, enhancing their capacity to respond in a "survivor-centred" way.
The helpline training is supported by the Maria Holder Memorial Trust.
