What We Do

Support For Those With Cancer
Lifeline provides support in many ways and counseling for those with cancer on Dominica. They also work closely with the Dominica Cancer Society and Because We Care , a cancer support organization.

For those who experience an unwelcome result from a routine breast exam (women) or digital rectal exam (men), one of the most difficult challenges is often to find the finances to pay for the tests and treatment needed. This worry can even make healing post-surgery more difficult and put a strain on family relationships.

The Dominica Cancer Society welcomes donations to help fund tests surgery chemotherapy and radiation treatment (in Guyana). Because We Care is a fundraising initiative which holds various events and acts as a portal for those who wish to send funds from overseas or sponsor particular individuals in need. This can be for patients or for their bereaved dependents. The funds are passed to the Dominica Cancer Society in total and receipts are issued by them.
