Yvonne Alexander is key in the training of Lifeline's advocates including the training of a Multidisciplinary Team in investigative techniques including rape kits. Yvonne was a career Police Officer. She served the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) for over forty (40) years, enlisting in December 1975 and retiring in May 2016. She served as Director of Training at the Regional Security System from June 2013 to December 2015. She shattered the glass ceiling by being the first and only female officer in the CDPF to be promoted to a senior managerial position.
During her career Yvonne benefitted from a range of professional training in law enforcement and security. Her academic qualifications includes a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Public Sector Management Stream) and an Executive Diploma in Management from the University of the West Indies. Apart from her illustrious police career, she has been actively involved in the wider community. She is affiliated with the Dominica National Council of Women, and advocates on issues of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse. Yvonne is actively involved in her church. She is the mother of four adult children and one granddaughter. She enjoys reading and outdoor recreational activities, especially hiking and swimming. |

Delia Cuffy Weekes has been an advocate for abused women and children for many years. An outspoken lobbyist and kind counselor of many a hurting soul , she joined the lifeline team leading a women's support group and then training as a Peaced Together Trainer. Delia can be relied upon to listen and to take part in every innovative activity, constantly seeking to develop new skills to make her helping more effective.
