Azahri is an energetic 3 year old who lives in a little hamlet called Kingshill. He lives with his father, mother and baby brother. His father and mother are both currently unemployed and are not able to pay his tuition fees. He loves to come to school to learn how to socialize and play with his friends. He is able to learn more and interact with children more at school than his opportunities at home.
Latianna is 3 years old. She lives in the community of Newtown, which is on the outskirts of Roseau, Dominica’s capital city. On October 8, 2015, she and her family were victims of a fire. Latianna's and her family lost nearly everything they owned. Despite the odds, she attends the pre-school; it is now like a refuge for her, and is like a second home. Lati, as we call her, likes to trace and learn to count. We really like her and hope that she can continue coming to school.

Students from Charlotte's Nursery & Pre-school enjoy career day!
Jahunicks is affectionately known as Junkey. He lives in the community of Newtown and is one of the fire victims from October 8, 2015. He and his family also lost everything. He keeps saying, over and over again, "Boy, I lost everything in the fire." His mother is dead, and his father works out of state. So, he lives with his Grandmother and four aunts. His Grandmother doesn't work and needs to have him in school so that he can learn and have something to do. At school he loves to draw, trace, and socialize with his peers.
Mayan better known as Sparkle, comes from a quiet little community of Belles. but is currently living with her grandfather and his wife in the community of Loubiere She is very jovial and eats a lot. Her social skills are being sharpened as she attends the preschool. We would be grateful if she could continue to stay with her other class mates and learn more.
Zian is a loving and sweet 2 1/2 year old. Zian is energetic and cuddly. He loves to eat and his favorite food is mac & cheese. He comes to school to color and to socialize and loves being here!  Zian also has a brother named Zain. Their mother is not able to help because she is not well. So, they both live with their adopted father and mother.
Mia Thomas is a quiet 4 year old who speaks very little at school, but does her work very well. She needs to socialize more so we can sharpen communication and socializing skills. Her father is out of state and her mother works at any seasonal job she can get. Mia has three other siblings ranging from age 9 years to 8 months. We really want to encourage her to come to school as it is also a safe haven for her.
Zain is an active 4 years old. She lives with her adoptive father and mother, brother and sister and a little brother who is 2 1/2 old. Her adoptive father works hard at two jobs to maintain the family. Zain loves school and loves to learn her ABCs and can count to 10. She loves spelling her name and wants to do well at school. She loves to watch and be involved with cooking.
